What comes in the box?
Everything you need: a handheld TecHorn, a rechargeable battery, and a charger. No tools required—just screw on the horns and slide in the battery.
How long will the battery last?
Over 200 pulls (2–3 seconds each) per charge—with plenty of power left to spare.
Does this product come with a warranty?
All TecHorns include a 1-year limited warranty for your peace of mind—excluding batteries, chargers, and DIY kits..
Are these illegal to use?
TecHorns are legal for personal use, but some venues or local laws may have restrictions. Always check local regulations and use responsibly.
What are TecHorn assembly times? When will my order arrive?
Our horns are custom-built. Standard processing is 5–7 business days, but may take up to 10 during busy seasons like playoffs or holidays.
Orders placed after 1:00 PM EST begin processing the next business day.
Shipping times vary depending on the method chosen at checkout. Note: delivery times are shown in business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet—but we’re working on it! International shipping is coming soon.
Can I use this horn in my vehicle?
Absolutely! TecHorns are portable and battery-powered — no wiring or installation required. While not built for permanent mounting, some users find creative ways to use them with their vehicles.
Is it waterproof? Can I use it while boating?
TecHorns are water-resistant, not fully waterproof. They can handle light splashes, but avoid heavy water exposure to preserve performance.
Is there a delay when pulling the trigger or using the remote?
None at all—the sound is instant.
Do you sell DIY kits? I’ve got some drills lying around.
Yes! We offer DIY kits (without the outer casing) for custom builds or vehicle installs like ATVs or trucks.
Can I mount this under the hood of a vehicle?
Yes! DIY TecHorns kits can be used in automotive installations. Please be familiar with 12-volt electrical requirements, as an additional switch or relay may be needed depending on your setup.
⚠️ Safety Tip: Always verify voltage polarity and use proper fuse protection before connecting your system.
How do you sync the remote to the horn?
Remote syncing is available only with TecHorns purchased from us. Setup instructions are included.
Is the battery in the remote control replaceable?
Yes! The remote uses a CR2016 battery, which is easy to replace.
What should I do if my item arrives damaged?
TecHorns professionally packages all handheld train horns in branded boxes. If your package arrives with damage to the box, and that damage is impacting the quality of the internal packaging, please do the following: Contact our team as soon as possible. Most shipping carriers require notification within two business days. Retain the original shipping box with the label. The shipping carrier might need this as part of their investigation. Take pictures of the damage and email those to us at info@TecHorns.com. We’ll take it from there and reach back out to you with additional information.
